When inclement weather strikes, Canby School District will make decisions about school as early as possible – sometimes even the night before, but our goal is by no later than about 5:45 a.m. on the day of the weather event. The message will go out via FlashAlert and will then be reported on most news websites and TV stations.

To make sure you’re set to receive the information, please subscribe to Canby School District on FlashAlert. Messages will also be sent to your email and/or phone via ParentSquare, posted on our website, and shared on our social media sites.

If the weather is severe enough, we will cancel school and students will have a snow day. In recent years, we have incorporated online learning days for extended closures, but we will no longer be using this format moving forward.
