ODOT SAFETY DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE

CSD Driver Education is an ODOT approved Driver Education course. ODOT courses improve situational awareness and build safe driving habits. This is not a class that teaches your student how to drive.

Due to high demand our program currently prioritizes students that reside within the Canby School District or attend CHS.

Out-of-district students can sign up for notifications concerning out-of-district openings.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have 10-15 hours of practice driving with an adult prior to class

  • Be at least 15 years old (and under 18)

  • Have valid permit and provide permit# during registration

Become a part of Driver Education!

The Traffic Safety Education program from Western Oregon University provides the required training to be an ODOT-TSD approved Driver Education instructor in Oregon. Individuals wishing to teach Driver Education in Oregon will gain a wealth of practical knowledge, as well as gain hands-on experience, both in the classroom and in the vehicle. Upon completion of the Traffic Safety Education course, participants will receive a certificate that can be presented to potential employers to verify certification.

These classes are part of a non-credit program funded by Oregon Department of Transportation.
