Dear CSD Families & Community,

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new superintendent for Canby School District. I bring a deep passion for learning and a strong commitment to student success. I believe that education is a collaborative effort, and I am dedicated to working closely with you as parents, caregivers, and community members to ensure every student in Canby schools has the opportunity to thrive.

It is with genuine enthusiasm that I join this remarkable community, as Canby is a place people choose to move to raise their families, drawn both by strong schools, common values, and a tight-knit sense of community. Notably, Canby is a community to which people return and often many generations settle in Canby to give their children a familiar experience. In addition, Canby is widely known for community pride, hosting many events including the Clackamas County Fair and Canby Rodeo, Independence Day Celebration, Summer Concerts in the Park, and the Saturday Market. All of these qualities are assets that I see, value, and honor.

As your superintendent, my immediate focus will be on listening and learning. I am eager to hear from you to understand the areas of strength within Canby’s schools and where we can improve and innovate. Your ideas, suggestions, and input will be invaluable as we work together to positively shape the future of our district.

In the coming months, I will be attending community events, visiting summer school, and holding community conversations as I get to know you and get to know Canby. I look forward to building connections, developing relationships and growing Canby pride. I hope that you’ll reach out to share any questions, unique pieces of Canby history, innovative ideas, or concerns. I care about being present, known, and earning your trust.
